As it expanded its ecommerce capabilities, Valley Irrigation was experiencing a challenge with needing to create, update, and source product images, which was essential for launching its digital ecommerce solution. The manual effort would involve considerable time and effort from operations and subject matter experts, along with a significant increase in labor cost. The goal? Save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually by adopting generative AI for content creation, speed up the process, and reduce the need to add more human labor for these tasks.

To tackle this challenge, Concentrix collaborated with internal service line partners at Valmont to devise a proof of concept (POC) utilizing innovative generative AI technology. This involved:
Adopting generative AI for content creation enabled the creation of personalized product descriptions, imagery from multiple perspectives, and technical specifications, allowing Valley Irrigation’s dealers to access tailored, high-quality content and resources more efficiently than ever before.
Cost & Labor Savings: Valley Irrigation realized hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual savings related to content creation.
Improved Quality of Content: The product copy generated was more complete, easier to read, and provided a standardized format for the dealers. The generated images in many cases are the only images available for this product line, as most are not available in the public domain.
Time Efficiency: The time required to generate high-quality content was significantly reduced. This dramatically improves Valmont’s ability to scale content for its ecommerce catalog.
Enhanced Engagement: The introduction of the content platform led to improved dealer engagement and satisfaction.
The POC took just two months, demonstrating rapid progress and marking a turning point in Valley Irrigation’s digital strategy, followed by full implementation of the MVP. Future project phases are already being planned with Concentrix as a result of our demonstration of generative AI expertise and ability to deliver.
